Since its start in 2001, Omni Access has built a base of business and retail long distance customers in Southern California by offering a dial-around international calling and international toll free service. In early 2006, Omni started looking for additional revenue opportunities using VoIP technologies to sell to its customer base and attract new agents and customers.

The company wanted to offer a hosted PBX solution, but did not have the in-house technical staffing or upfront capital to build a solution in-house. VoIP Logic's solution is built top-tier system components that Omni Access trusted, with the right balance of support and control. Omni Access wanted a level of control over the feature packages and pricing that most private label offerings were unable to provide, but which VoIP Logic were able to provide.

The implementation involved tying the company's existing Cisco gateways and NACT switches into the VoIP Logic hosted network. The move to Cortex required two-way integration with Omni Access's existing accounting software and regular imports of external carrier CDR. Omni Access's engineers worked with VoIP Logic's staff to launch the product offering in just 3 months.
