Hosted PBX PlatformSince 2001, Omni Access has built a base of business and retail long distance customers in Southern California by offering a dial-around international calling and international toll free service. In 2006, Omni beganlooking for additional revenue opportunities using VoIP technologies to sell to its customer base and attract new agents.
The company decided to offer a hosted PBX solution. As a facilities based carriers one of Omni's biggest fears was becoming a reseller but it did not have the capital resources to invest in the equipment nor the desire to acquire extensive operational expertise. VoIP Logic's solution is to use top-tier (or 'brand name') system components that Omni Access trusted, with the right balance of support and control. Among many specialized requirements, Omni Access wanted a level of control over the feature packages and some very specific reporting that most private label offerings were unable to provide.
The implementation involved interoperating both Omni's existing Cisco gateways and NACT switch infrastructure into a Sylantro, Genband, Acme, Iperia VoIP architecture and assuring billing records from all relevant systems were processing correctly. The move to Cortex required some integration with Omni Access's existing accounting software for payment processing and revenue recognition. |
