Iperia

Iperia’s ActivEdge and VX are highly scalable, open-standards application software that makes the most of SIP, VoiceXML and VoIP technologies to deliver innovative communications services to enterprise and residential markets.

Many of the features that users most enjoy about VoIP technology are

  • voicemail to email
  • easy to administer user preferences
  • easy to administer auto-attendant systems
  • easy to record and upload interactive voice response recordings
  • seamless integration with other VoIP systems
  • full web integration for management

ActiveEdge and VX are customizable in accordance to specific service provider requirements with features selectable as class of service options on a per-subscriber or per-organization basis.

Key Features

The ActivEdge solution consists of three software components: Web Application Server, Call Control Agent and Notification Engine. The Web Application Server hosts each application, the Call Control Agent manages the traffic to/from ActivEdge and the IP and/or PSTN network and the Notification Engine manages the notification events for each user.

The primary applications supported by ActiveEdge include:

  • Voicemail
  • Visual Voicemail - industry-standard IMAP4 or POP3 e-mail client
  • Auto-Attendant – provide custom greeting, key-driven menu options and dial by name directory for incoming callers
  • Unified Messaging – allows subscribers to retrieve all voicemail, e-mail notification, fax communication and conferencing from a single interface
  • Fax
  • Personal Address Book - allows subscribers to easily look-up, dial and send messages to any contact stored in their personal address book

In addition, the ActivEdge architecture is designed to support the additions of new features and functions such as Conferencing, Video Mail, Find-Me, Presence, Multimedia Messaging, and Instant Communications.

Benefits of the VoIP Logic Deployment Model

Using the web service API available in ActiveEdge, VoIP Logic has integrated unified messaging management features into Cortex®. Through Cortex, service providers can access the following

  • Subscriber self-management of voicemail and account options
  • Administrator mechanism to provision, delete and modify accounts
  • Auto-attendant interface to build new menu-driven applications for callers and to administer music on hold
  • Customize-able look and feel
  • Integration into provisioning 'wizards' for easy service creation
