Business News Americas - VoIP Logic expects 25 active clients in Latin America this yearOctober 6, 2010 —
US provider of VoIP managed services VoIP Logic expects to end 2010 with 25 active customers in Latin America compared to the current 20, company CEO Micah Singer told BNamericas. The executive said that most of the company's clients are concentrated in Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia. Other countries where VoIP Logic has customers include Bolivia, Brazil, Panama, Argentina and Nicaragua. "Larger countries like Brazil and Venezuela and Mexico are real centers of telecommunications activity and have shown to have a lot of companies who have adopted VoIP technology and either need infrastructure expansion through international POPs or engineering expertise," the executive said. "We are starting to see some early interest from carriers in Latin America that want to use our systems to offer hosted PBX to enterprises, which is exciting," Singer added. The executive also said that Latin America is a key region for VoIP Logic in terms of business. "For a number of reasons we have tried hard to provide a region-specific VoIP expertise option. We do this primarily by providing all engineering professional services in Spanish as well as placing equipment near strategic cable heads serving Latin America," the executive said. Singer added that the company sees significant opportunities for its session border controller as well as for its Class 5 VoIP managed services offering. "This solution is seeing an early level of interest in the region. In the long term, I see this as the largest opportunity for us in the region," Singer added.
