When you are assessing all of the options for VoIP network components like feature servers, session border controllers, security gateways, media gateways, media servers, messaging servers, etc. there are a number of questions you should evaluate for EACH system in order to provide an accurate comparison.

A more informative way to use the VTAT is to complete the questionnaire by deciding the relative importance of each category and then rating the technology and the technology vendor you are assessing in each of over 60 detailed questions.  The composite score is an empirical analysis of the information you provide according to an algorithm we use internally for assessing technology.  The composite score on a given vendor's technology should be compared to other competing options.  Click here to get started.
