VoIP Logic Profile
VoIP Logic is a global provider of VoIP managed services combining systems, engineering, hosting and support. Their Cortex OSS middleware platform offers carriers and service providers a single point of integration for provisioning, management, customer service and billing. Its API allows integration with web portals, SMS, email and smartphones not only for provisioning and management but also for end user inquiries and self-care.
From basic business models like wholesale carrier and retail prepaid to complex ones like SIP trunking and unified messaging, they provide the underlying systems, integration layer and manpower that allows providers to build and scale enterprise, consumer, wholesale and Web 2.0 voice solutions with limited initial capital outlay and low ongoing operational expense. A telecom reseller can supplement traditional core equipment sales and services with VoIP services without a major investment in infrastructure.
During an interview with Telecom Reseller, CEO Micah Singer discussed the Cortex modules they recently developed for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. “Apple has done an excellent job of bringing the power of the networked PC to the palm-top, as evidenced by the growth rate of the iPhone worldwide. It makes sense that business and even consumer users would want to conveniently manage their telephone presence while working remotely. We bring value to carriers and providers expanding into VoIP or adding to their applications portfolio by getting them into the game quicker, with a more experienced team and lower TCO.”
Providers deploying Cortex Mobile can offer subscribers the ability to manage presence, modify phone settings, initiate calls and conference calls, access Apple and Broadsoft/Sylantro contacts, check voicemail, manage and check billing status, and review call history through a visual interface.
The success of VoIP infrastructure as a managed service and Cortex OSS is evident in the company's 2008 year-end results. They experienced growth in revenues to approximately $4.6 million year-over-year, increased their base of managed services carriers by 40 and retail service providers by 8, and expanded into Central and Latin America.
