Plano, TX - GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP infrastructure solutions, today announced its plans to expand agreements with three leading telecommunications systems integrator partners to support and distribute GENBAND IP gateway product lines to emerging carriers throughout the world. Verscom Solutions, VoIP Logic and General Telecom, all previous strategic business partners of NextPoint Networks, have agreed to begin selling and servicing existing GENBAND products following the GENBAND acquisition of NextPoint Networks on September 16th.

“We are very pleased to be in a position to seamlessly expand the existing supplier and service agreements NextPoint enjoyed with these outstanding distribution partners to encompass GENBAND solutions,” said Pablo Gargiulo, President of Global Operations at GENBAND. “Today these partners service hundreds of emerging carriers in strategic international markets that will amplify and expand our reach. They provide cutting-edge integration services and support and we are very enthusiastic about collaborating to assist operators in transforming their networks with IP technologies and security solutions.”

Verscom Solutions, VoIP Logic and General Telecom each bring GENBAND powerful expertise and strategic regional strengths. General Telecom enhances GENBAND’s footprint in the Americas by expanding its reach with fast-evolving and emerging CLECs, IOCs and VoIP application providers. In addition to North America & APAC, VoIP Logic strengthens GENBAND’s growing presence in Central and South America with particular advantages in Mexico and Brazil. Verscom’s major European and Middle Eastern presence rapidly expands GENBAND’s reach in those important markets.

“We see significant opportunities for GENBAND solutions to enhance our offerings, particularly as we leverage their growing presence in Latin America,” said Micah Singer, VoIP Logic’s CEO and Founder. “GENBAND’s market leadership and full product suite, combined with their Brazilian R&D facility and multilingual infrastructure, make them an attractive partner.”

“As the market leader in IP gateway solutions, GENBAND has consistently had a clear vision for transitioning telecom networks to IP,” said Kevin Alward, President and CEO, General Telecom. “The GENBAND acquisition of NextPoint is a compelling milestone that expands their valuable portfolio and anticipates the needs of their customers. GENBAND’s IP gateway products nicely round out our interconnectivity offerings in addition to what we were already supporting with NextPoint.”

“We’ve been impressed with the seamless integration of GENBAND and NextPoint and look forward to capitalizing on their newly combined strengths,” said Gokce Bilyay, CEO of Verscom. “The emerging market opportunities across Europe and the Middle East are significant and we are pleased to now have an agreement to leverage GENBAND’s broad offering and leadership position in our target markets.”
