Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation? A: VoIP Logic provides VoIP infrastructure, deployment, management and integration software to service providers around the world using VoIP in their offering(s). VoIP Logic has been in business since February 2003 and has served over 125 service providers to date.
Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry? A: VoIP Logic has been successful because of the built-in cost and delivery advantages of an outsourcing model and the company’s ability to execute with a timely set of solutions to common pain points experienced by carriers as they learn a new technology.
Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace? A: The biggest obstacle is educating the service provider market about the advantages of being an outsource facilities provider instead of a reseller. The new technology really allows almost anyone with an existing or a potential customer base to become a facilities-based carrier – basically make all of the decisions – and it is being facilitated by companies like VoIP Logic.
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward? A: Our greatest challenge is always execution. Finding talented engineers for deployment, support, research and development is the cornerstone of an outsourcing model. The market seems to be developing and the technology is superior – ideally the development of the Internet as a robust real time network will accelerate.
Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements? A: VoIP Logic launched Cortex® in November 2006. Best of breed VoIP infrastructure is the key call processing component of any offering and, now Cortex®, is the key point of system information integration. It is a web-based application that is used by the end user and the service provider to integrate system(s) management and control in a VoIP deployment.
Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member? A: COMPTEL members have been among the earliest adopters of new market technologies. As new challenges arise in infrastructure, deployment, cost and management of this technology, companies like VoIP Logic can add a lot of value to the general conversation of VoIP standards and address very specific VoIP challenges generated by the COMPTEL community. |
